Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of Kol Kesav (the "service", "we"). By creating an account you agree to them.

The service

You record or upload audio of shiurim or other talks, and the service sends it to an automatic transcription provider and returns text notes. The transcription is automatic and can contain mistakes. It is a draft. Please check it before relying on it, especially words marked [?] and mareh mekomos.

Your account

Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One account is for one person. A group plan's members each have their own account.

Your content

You keep all rights to the audio you send and the notes you make. You give us permission to process them only to run the service for you (transcribe, store and sync them). Only send recordings you have the right to record and share, and respect the wishes of the speaker and anyone else who can be heard.

Plans, hours and payment

Each plan includes a number of transcription hours per calendar month, shown on the Plans page. Hours are counted by the length of the audio sent for transcription. Unused hours do not roll over. When you reach your hours, your existing notes stay available, and new transcription waits for an upgrade or the next month.

Paid plans renew monthly until you cancel. Payments are handled by Stripe; we do not see or store your card number. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Manage subscription, and your plan runs to the end of the period already paid. Prices may change; we will tell you before a change affects your next renewal.

Refunds: Kol Kesav will look at any reasonable request. Write to us within 14 days of a charge.

Fair use

Don't misuse the service: no attempts to get around the hour limits, to access other people's accounts or notes, or to overload the service. We may suspend an account that does.

No warranty

The service is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, our responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the last three months.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms and will show the new date at the top. You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may end the service with reasonable notice; you can export your notes before then.
